Reuters ahead with key news on U.S. economic data

As U.S. data from March began to show the toll the coronavirus was exacting on the economy, Reuters was ahead on numerous key releases. Reuters logged a one second win on March nonfarm payrolls data on April 3 and was 43 seconds ahead with the jump in the unemployment rate. Reuters also scored wins on weekly jobless claims data on March 19 and 26, and April 2 and 16. A nine second win was recorded on March retail sales data on April 15, with a 44 second beat on industrial output data the same day.
