Reuters has today opened applications for an exciting new newsroom program: the Reuters News Accelerator Program (RNAP).
RNAP is designed to enhance our global newsroom by attracting and developing local talent. It is aimed at mid-career journalists and offers a unique blend of coaching, learning, and hands-on experience.
RNAP is launching with a cohort in sub-Saharan Africa, and our aim is to have the program focus on a new region each year.
Applications are now open for the following roles:
- Senior Africa Markets Correspondent: Cover the dynamic financial markets and provide insightful analysis for international investors.
- West Africa Mining Correspondent: Report on the booming mining sector, a crucial engine for the region’s development and clean energy transition.
- Nigeria Chief Correspondent: Lead our coverage of Africa’s most populous nation, reporting on its economy, politics, and cultural landscape.
- Photojournalist: Capture compelling stories with visuals that resonate with a global audience.
- Senior Visuals Producer: Lead a team of visual journalists, producing impactful multimedia stories.
Applications are open from today until October 13. If you’re a talented mid-career journalist looking to accelerate your career and you’re based in Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal or South Africa, apply now. You can find an overview of the program here.
