Reuters today announced a new way to access its audio content.

Reuters Audio is now available on the Reuters Connect Marketplace, offering more flexible access to its library of over 600,000 pieces of audio content. In addition, audio content from a range of news partners will be available to Reuters Connect users in the coming weeks.

In June, Reuters launched Reuters Audio and Reuters Ready Audio to give customers access to a global collection of rights-cleared real-time and archive audio clips, as well as ready-to-publish audio stories.

Now, Reuters Connect Marketplace users have the flexibility to license individual audio clips and directly download content in the leading audio file formats.

In the coming weeks, Reuters will enable the use of audio content from multiple Reuters Connect news partners. From local news agencies like EFE and Latin America News Agency to networks including CNBC and PBS to UGC outlets including Storyful and ViralHog, Reuters Connect users will have access to a range of audio content to expand and engage their audiences.

Sue Brooks, Managing Director of Product Development & Agency Strategy, Reuters, said: “Opening up both Reuters and news partner audio on Reuters Connect Marketplace allows us to super-serve existing clients, as well as provide a targeted service for the audio and voice community, who we know seek flexibility in how they can purchase content. With up-to-the minute news coverage and an archive going back more than a century, podcasters, radio outlets and platforms will have access to the highest quality and most engaging content to grow their audiences.”
