Reuters announced today the launch of a new video news channel on Samsung TV Plus, available to users of Samsung TV Plus devices across Europe. Reuters global news coverage, produced by 2,500 journalists in 200 locations around the world, will be available for Samsung TV Plus users in the United Kingdom, France, Germany and the Netherlands.
Reuters trusted and impartial news coverage of the biggest stories of the day across general news, business, politics, entertainment and more will be accessible to owners of Samsung Smart TVs from 2017 models and onwards for free, with no downloads or additional sign-in required.
Users will be able to view Reuters news reports through packaged video segments of 2- to-3-minute clips of each story and Reuters global video coverage will be distributed continuously in 30-minute feeds, updated throughout the day to reflect the most important stories of the moment.
“Reuters OTT offerings provide viewers with global intelligence, helping them achieve an international view of the news that’s insightful, unbiased and delivered in real time,” said Josh London, Head of Reuters Professional and Chief Marketing Officer, Reuters. “By meeting audiences on the platforms that are most convenient to them in markets worldwide, Reuters is engaging new audiences across streaming services, adding to the billions reached daily by Reuters content.”
Last month Reuters announced it will provide Rakuten TV users with 24/7 access to Reuters news in 40+ European territories.
