In October, Reuters held its inaugural Reuters NEXT Gulf summit, bringing its definitive live journalism series to Abu Dhabi. The summit convened 600+ prominent regional and world leaders representing over 40 different countries and more than 15 industries. The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development served as the host city partner. 

Alongside senior executives, policymakers and changemakers from business, government, NGOs, civil society, media, culture and academia, more than 2.6 million live viewers joined Reuters to examine the challenges defining business, society and the world. The full event can be viewed on demand on Reuters official YouTube channel. 

On the World stage, the audience heard from experts across six key themes:Geopolitics, Economy & Markets, Banking & Finance, Technology & AI, Climate & Sustainability, and Business Leadership. The speakers included Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the UAE HE Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation HE Dr. Rania Al Mashat, and Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, as well as executives from companies including Emaar, Hashkey Exchange, Amazon Web Services, Saudi Technology Ventures, Masdar and DP World.
