What is happening to Reuters Screenocean?
As part of Reuters’ broader strategy to consolidate its content offering in one place, Reuters Screenocean content is being incorporated into Reuters Connect, bringing all our video and imagery into one platform.
Reuters Connect will become the one platform for accessing real-time and archive visual content, so customers will no longer need to manage separate platforms or workflows to access Reuters and partner content.
Why is this change happening?
This migration is part of a broader move to consolidate services onto Reuters Connect, our single destination to discover and license visuals at speed. It will also improve the overall user experience with advanced features like AI search for pictures and a wider content library.

Will I still be able to access Reuters Screenocean?
All Reuters content being transitioned from Reuters Screenocean will be available on Reuters Connect. Reuters Connect will become the platform for accessing this content as Reuters Screenocean is phased out.
What about partner content?
Content from selected key partners will be available on Reuters Connect from the start of the migration, including Channel 4, BAFTA and EFE. Additional partner content will be added in stages after this point.
During the transition period, customers can continue to access partner content on Reuters Screenocean if it is not yet available on Reuters Connect. Customers looking for specific partner content that they cannot find on Reuters Connect should contact their Account Manager for support.
What can I do on Reuters Connect?
Reuters Connect allows you to search, discover, license and download Reuters and partner content in one place. It will replace the platform functionality previously available on Reuters Screenocean, while giving you access to an improved experience for finding and managing visual content. You will also benefit from improved discovery tools, including AI-powered search, and continued support from your Reuters Account Manager for your content discovery, curation and sourcing needs.
What are the benefits of Reuters Connect?
Reuters Connect gives you access to the world’s largest editorial marketplace, with more than 85 million pictures and 600,000 videos available to discover and license. It brings Reuters’ licensable visual content into one platform, making it easier to search, source and manage the content you need.
Will there be any disruption during the migration?
The migration is being planned to minimise disruption. Your Reuters Screenocean access will remain available for a limited transition period after you receive your Reuters Connect welcome email, so you can continue to access content while you set up and begin using Reuters Connect.
Some content, including selected partner content, may become available on Reuters Connect in stages. If you cannot find specific content during the transition, please contact your Account Manager for support.
Will my account or access type change?
Your Reuters Connect account will be set up based on your existing Reuters Screenocean access and agreement. The way you access content will change, as Reuters Connect will replace Reuters Screenocean, but your content access will continue to reflect your existing subscription.
If any action is needed on your account during the transition, your Account Manager will contact you.
